Start with a face they recognize.
Choose a clear photograph of the person or pet as they remember them. Look for a familiar pose, hairstyle or expression. For pets, coat markings, ears and the shape of the muzzle can matter as much as the face. The studio works from one photo; it does not combine people from different pictures into a new scene.
Take your time with the proof.
There is no need to purchase an illustration that does not feel right. Compare the free preview with the photograph, especially the details that matter most to you. A watercolor simplifies features and may change small details. The finished file is the exact artwork you approve, with the preview watermark removed.
Keep the words simple.
A name, a date, or one small memory can be enough on the separate gift card. You can also leave the wording blank. Give the downloaded artwork privately, or arrange a matte print using the size guidance included with the files. Printing and a frame are separate; there is no physical item shipped with the gift.
